Code of Conduct

Employees of ServiceMaster shall maintain the highest degree of honesty and integrity so that ServiceMaster may in turn conduct its business at the same professional level.

 

  1. Employees should remain active at all times other than breaks or meetings with Management. 
  2. Employees shall maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance and shall follow the ServiceMaster Uniform Dress Code policy.
  3. Employees of ServiceMaster shall be courteous to customers and try to serve their needs according to the contracted tasks. 
  4. Employees are not to use a client’s telephone unless it is an emergency. 
  5. If the employee accidentally damage’s any property while performing their duties, they should report the incident and extent of the damage to the Supervisor immediately. A note should also be left to the client advising that they will be contacted by ServiceMaster regarding the breakage. 
  6. Theft is not tolerated and may result in your immediate termination of the contract. 
  7. Employees should not enter any areas of the client’s premises where we are not authorized to perform work. 
  8. Employees should not remove anything from the client’s property that does not belong to them, even though it may be of no commercial value. 
  9. Employees should not under any circumstances read through a client’s correspondence or files or enter desk drawers. 
  10. Building security is to be maintained at all times. Employees should never give out keys, pass cards or alarm codes to anyone. All doors should be are locked before the employee leaves. Employees should not unlock doors for entry or exit of individuals unless authorized by the customer. 
  11. Employees must arrive at the job site at the preassigned time. If the employee is going to be late they must follow the Absenteeism policy. 
  12. Equipment and your storage area must be kept clean and in good working order. If equipment is unsafe in any way it must be reported to the Supervisor immediately. 
  13. It is the employee’s responsibility to review the Communication Log Book and to pass this information on to the ServiceMaster Management team whenever necessary. A courteous response to all requests is mandatory. 
  14. All supplies will be ordered by calling the Supervisor at the office at least (3) three days in advance of requirement of the supplies.
